Pattern : Exam Pattern for UP Seva Mandal written Exam is as Follows :-
- The written examination will be multiple choice/objective type.
- There will be a composite paper carrying 110 marks.
- There will also be an Interview of 15 marks.

(ii) General Mathematics
(iii) General Hindi
(iv) General English
(v) Special knowledge regarding educational qualification for the posts.
Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for UP Seva Mandal Written exam is given below :-
General Knowledge : History, Geography and Socio Economic development of India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History (From 1857 onwards) of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography, Polity of India.
Reasoning Ability : Questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning.
General Mathematics : Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which have to be focused.
General Hindi : अलंकार, रस, समास, पर्यायवाची, विलोम, तत्सम एवं तद्भव, संधियां, वाक्याशों के लिये एक शब्द निर्माण, लोकोक्तियां एवं मुहावरे
वाक्यसंशोधन- लिंग, वचन, कारक, काल, वर्तनी, त्रुटि से संबंधित, अनेकार्थी शब्द
General English : Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/Detecting Mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage.
